Move Like You Used To
Sometimes all it takes is finding and releasing a trigger point to get immediate relief. For example, knee pain can come from tight hips and shoulder pain can come from a tight chest. Each person is different and we understand exactly how to find your trigger point so you get your desired results.
Stretching without addressing why the muscles are tight in the first place won’t solve your problem. So we use our expertise to find the source of your issue then combine different types of stretching with myofascial release
Step 1 – Range of Motion Tests
We have designed a series of range-of-motion tests that points us to your trigger points and what needs to be stretched. You may be surprised to learn that the parts of your body that feel tight aren’t the problem and that different sides of your body may need different types of stretching.
Step 2 – A Data-Driven Approach
Once we thoroughly understand your body, we use a combination of techniques including gentle fascial stretching, myofascial release, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) and AIF (active isolated flexibility) to get you the results you are hoping for.
I started Functional Fitness Guru because it is my mission to help my clients feel better.
People often complain that traditional stretching just does not give them the results that they are seeking. Too many people avoid activities they love and walk around with unnecessary pain.
Over the past 20 years, I have made it my mission to understand how the body works and how daily repetitive movements can be hard on the body. I developed a series of tests to easily identify exactly which muscles are tight and how to alleviate that tightness.
It’s not as simple as just stretching. It’s understanding what needs to be stretched, strengthened or stabilized and which stretching techniques work best.
